Whitney Coulson is psychotherapist and non-profit administrator who has practiced social work in New York City over a decade. She specializes in therapy for anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties and life transitions. As a queer identifying and neurodiverse therapist, she is passionate about accessible and affordable mental health services for people with marginalized identities (women, people with disabilities, people of color, LGBTQ+ folks, Indigenous peoples, people of a lower socio-economic status and so on).
Whitney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Supervisor, and founding director of Moodlab Psychotherapy. She earned a Master Degree in Clinical Social Worker from New York University, where she trained in a multicultural and social justice orientation to mental health. Prior to her masters degree, she graduated with a bachelors degree from Oakland University. Whitney has completed additional coursework in psychoanalytic training, trauma therapy and is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She possessed over a decade of clinical experience in community mental health and private practice, as well as in non-profit administration, prior to starting Moodlab Psychotherapy.
