We are social-justice oriented professionals that strive to embody anti-discrimination, anti-oppression, anti-stigma, anti-racism and anti-ableism in all that we do.
We are dedicated to the process of life-long learning and collectively educating ourselves. We hold ourselves accountable, holding, correcting and repairing when we fall short. We are wholly imperfect people but we will not hide behind that.
We are advocates for equity and justice through our practices, education and advocacy work.
We understand that identify (I.e. age, diagnosis, race, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, class, indigenous heritage, nationality, gender expression, generation, immigration status, neurodiversity, etc) influences your life experiences, values and mental health.
We know that our identities can both bring value (pride, belonging, connection) and that they are tied to social realities (privilege, oppression, accessibility, marginalization).
We know that for some their identities may be what bring them to therapy-ex. Seeking support and affirmation of your gender identity and expression. For others you want to know that your therapist is capable of validating and supporting your identity in the course of treatment. You will find support, affirmation and validation here, regardless of your reason for seeking care.
We know your identity is relevant to all aspects of who you are, including your reason for seeking therapy, and commit to creating a safe space for you to process whatever stressors bring you to our care.
We welcome you to bring your whole self to therapy, and know we are ready for conversations
